Making spinach and feta omelets for dinner.
OMG that sounds so delicious right about now, so if you don’t mind, I’m going to run and make the best spinach and feta omelet I’ve ever made.

One of my friends (the one who runs 3 seasons of track every year) asked if I wanted to run today and at first I didn’t. It’s been a long week and I was so drained, but I grabbed some running clothes, threw them on and told her I’d be there in 10 minutes.
It’s incredible where getting up and just doing it will get you. Feeling incredible right now. Not sure of the exact time, because my mileage tracker gave out on my halfway through, but she knew how long the route was beforehand!

Even though it was a short week, I’m so incredibly exhausted, it’s ridiculous. I just want to curl into bed and sleep for days. 4 days of school left! WAHOOO :)

Finished in 25 minutes and then took a nice walk in this 80 degree weather to cool down and relax. Got home and ate homemade greek yogurt. No, I didn’t make the greek yogurt itself, but I took plain greek yogurt and put 5 defrosted frozen strawberries in with some honey to sweeten it. Perfection.
Now I’m drinking iced Dragonfruit melon tea to hydrate!!

In school today we had a long discussion about what kind of legacy we want to leave and how we shape the perception of how others see us and remember and whether or not that legacy changes when you die. It really got me thinking though, that we are so capable of channeling how others view us, although sometimes we may not want others to see everything and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. People have different personalities and sometimes that characteristics shine through more than others, but that’s what makes us unique. Not everyone is going to be loud or bubbly or attention seeking, but that doesn’t make them any less worthy of leaving a valuable reputation or legacy for the people around them.
Personally, I was also thinking about what I wanted people to know about me or how I wanted people to see me. It’s a tough thing because it can be difficult to step back and assess your own life, especially as you’re living it in the moment and don’t take the time to comprehend your actions or thoughts.
Here goes nothing…
I want people to know that I have dedicated my life to music. Since I was four, I’ve been playing the violin and it has become such an integral part of my persona that it’s hard to separate myself from that. I’ve progressed in such leaps and bounds with my music that I’ve accomplished so many things that I know some people dream of achieving. I’ve been in countless music festivals, joined a selective youth orchestra, toured with that youth orchestra around Europe and played in world renowned musical halls and cathedrals, played in Lincoln Center last year, and I just played in Carnegie Hall for the third time. If anything, I’ve left a legacy on the music world, and I’m perfectly okay with that.
I want people to know that I’m passionate about traveling, hiking, backpacking, exploring the outdoors, camping, you name it. With that territory comes protecting the Earth that we’ve been given, or as I’ve been taught, the Leave No Trace technique in order to cherish and keep the Earth clean. I’ve been on two Outward Bound courses, which changed my life and my perception of life more than I could have imagined. I learned to communicate and trust people while pushing my limits and achieving goals in three week intervals. Both taught me to be patient and accept what I’ve been given while accepting an attitude that will positively impact me.
And that’s what I’m going to leave you with. Feel free to respond on what you think a legacy means or how you want to change that perception that people have of you, because it’s a very powerful tool to be in control of. :)

For a night time snack, I decided to make a combo of vanilla granola, raspberries and milk. It was absolutely vile and not delicious at all. I had a little bit of Better N’ Peanut Butter on the side, but that did nothing, if anything, it was even more disgusting. NEVER making that again.

That is awfully kind of you, sir, but GET OUT. YOU ARE NOT WANTED HERE. I need to find a way to disconnect that from my phone. The emails just kept pouring in and I was freaking out. LEARN SOME MANNERS. Thanks.
